Personal Safety Concepts - Self Defence Training

Our personal safety programs are an excellent alternative to the martial arts training environment where you can learn skills and strategies relevant to everyday situations. The courses are not based on combative martial art or military based strategies. Our philosophy is to enhance personal safety and reduce violence in the community.

The expertise of founder Catherine Schnell has been highly praised by many organisations and the thousands of individuals who have participated in Personal Safety Concepts courses and training for more than 25 years. Catherine is Melbourne's most experienced personal safety and self defence instructor, specialising in women's self defence, self defence in schools and workplace personal safety training.

  • Short courses and seminars for women, men, teens and children
  • Onsite at our centre or in-house for workplaces, schools, community groups.
  • Flexible program structures to suit both primary and secondary school needs and to respond to VELS curriculum requiriments in the domains of Interpersonal Development, Health and Physical Education.
